Technology is changing constantly and in today’s society most job opportunity listings and resources are online. Asylee Women Enterprises (AWE) offers a program on Monday’s and Wednesday’s called “Employment and Education Program.” The program teaches asylum seekers how to write resume’s, teaches interview skills and assists them in online job applications. I would like to use the grant money to donate new computers that have Microsoft capabiltieis installed. I feel more computers will give AWE more opportunities to assist even more individuals and by doing so, will better assist the individuals in rebuilding their lives.

I like this idea because I think it is important for the asylum seekers to understand how to work Microsoft, so it can help them out in the workforce. What appeals to me the most is making sure the computers have Microsoft capabilities because it will be very useful. I would like to play the role of Communications Specialist/Event Planner.
I like this idea because computers last for (hopefully) at least five years and you can update Microsoft as new updates come out. It is important for refugees and asylum seekers to understand technology and how to use it in a work setting. I would like to be Lead Writer/Researcher on this idea.
