Grant Idea

I had trouble choosing between the two, but I would like to have a run/walk to raise money for technology and awareness or a conference. At Stevenson, we have this event called Leaderstang which takes students through a variety of sessions on finance, mental outlook, work skills, and more to become better leaders. I think this event would work great tailored to AWE. This event will be a great opportunity to help the women of AWE with leadership skills and preparation for the work field. I also feel we could have a child version that focuses on learning and possible mentorship.

  1. I think could be a winning idea because it is something that can actually happen and students would attend.

    It’s an active event!

I’m really not sure what role I would play.

  2. This could be a winning idea because it can tailor to the needs of others by teaching them practical skills. What appeals to me the most is having a child version that focuses on learning and mentorship, which is something that can make a difference. The role I would like to play is the Communications Specialist/Event Planner.

  3. I really like this idea because not only is it encouraging people to get physically active, but it also helps those that attend to better understand what’s going on in the world as well as what the organization is about. I would like to be the communications specialist/event planner because since I am a digital marketing major I could effectively market the event to the intended audience.

  4. I think this is a great idea because it is sustainable if it is done right. Leadership skills are a big asset in the working world and developing those skills are important. If we did a separate kids section, Stevenson student’s could get involved with mentoring as well. I would like to be the Lead Writer/Researcher.
