Any non-profit organization needs the help of potential donors to assist in keeping them afloat and thriving. In addition to having a “Donate” page, non-profit organizations must participate in fundraisers and events in order to generate interest in whatever the organization is passionate about. The events that Asylee plan to appear at or hold. The Calendar/News page for AWE could do with a heavy makeover as it is genuinely disorganized and holds information that is outdated. In addition to updating the information to reflect more current and future events that representatives from AWE plan on holding or attending, especially community events that are designed to attract donors and potential volunteers.
I would suggest an interactive calendar on the site so that information can be easily updated and seen. Programs like UpTo allow a calendar to be embedded on your website. The level of creativity is completely up to the designers but the ability to update the calendar will be easy. With this update, the AWE site would allow for potential donors looking on the site to effectively plan for the events listed and have their donations in order while also providing clarity to the casual viewer on the overall activity of AWE as an organization.

I really like the concept of an interactive calendar actually featured on the site so that you can provide the most up to date information to people on your website. I would be interested to know what other information you think would be helpful for the Calendar page.
I like your suggestions for updating the page. I like that you suggested programs to help keep the calendar page up to date and better organized.
The calendar is definitely a great idea. If potential donors would like to schedule a visit or see what events are going on, this would be the most convenient way to do it. Also, it would simultaneously add variety to the website.
The calendar idea is a perfect one. Whenever I volunteer a calendar is so useful in keeping al the activities straight in my life. Its use can also be to help donors see all the activities their funds are supporting while also applying to the women who may use it as a reference from time to time. The idea is perfect but i think its very important that the information be organized, colorful and interactive, as well as being updated frequently by someone at AWE.
I think it’s also a good idea to make the calendar’s programs interactive, as well. For example, one could view an event on a certain day, but they would also be able to click on the program for more information.
Use of a calendar to help people both follow AWE’s campaign and support it’s goals is a really good idea. Cycling the calendar to be shown month-by-month with hyperlinks to events and information would be a massive improvement over the current AWE site, and one that would draw in readers and potential donors.
An interactive calendar would be perfect for AWE. In the future, a possible calendar sync option could be implemented so those who are volunteering can get updates and reminders on their phones or computers.
An interactive calendar would be cool. I use the calendar on my phone a lot, and it definitely helps me out in the long run. Maybe there could even be descriptions of what these events are, and what they offer.
