The Nether Review

The play, The Nether, was a comparison between the real world and virtual reality. The people in the real world can create a new character that they want to be in the virtual reality. There are no consequences in the virtual reality, but in the real world there are. There is one person in the virtual reality world that they refer to as the main character. A detective is investigating what is going on in the virtual reality by interviewing the actual person who is the main character.

I thought the overall performance of the play was interesting and was done well. I thought it was neat to see how they shift back and forth between the two worlds by using special sound effects. Also, it was interesting to see how the people in the real world had a different character in the virtual reality world.

I would not suggest any improvements because the entire play was good. The actors performed well in showing who their characters really were. The play also effectively presented lighting and sound effects to show which world the characters were in. The play was very organized, clear, and easy to understand.
