Grant Pitch LIRS

My idea for the grant proposal is to have a high school work program with LIRS and offer a scholarship to an individual in the program. The scholarship would help pay for classes and books which are very expensive now a days. High School students would learn leadership skills, open their eyes to all walks of life. LIRS works with refugees, children, and migrants to ensure they are protected and welcomed into local communities throughout the United States. Targeting high school students would benefit the LIRS by growing the brand to the youth of America. High school students are already looking to build their resume for colleges what better than to help people in their local community. LIRS works with immigrants who are children, high school student maybe able to relate and communicate with them in different ways than adults.

  1. This is a winning idea because it educates high school students about what it takes to run an organization like LIRS. The most appealing aspect of this project it the idea of giving high school students a scholarship to help pay for their college expenses, and the idea of teaching them skills that will definitely be helpful in their career. I believe that I’d be able to help with the communications portion, basically how we can get the scholarship out to different high schools across the state.

  2. This is a great idea because high school is where you start building your future. This idea appeals to me because I remember in high school I was looking for any kind of money to help myself. So I feel like I connect to this on a personal level. If I were to work on this idea I would like to be the researcher so I can find out more information on how to help.

  3. I also think this is a great idea. Being able to set these individuals up for success is vital in their future. This is a great way of going about that
